MoneyPrice Per Serving: The Number Most Product Pages Leave Out
A cheaper bottle is not always the cheaper choice. Here is the two-step calculation that tells you what you really pay.
Two products can look similar on the shelf and still cost very different amounts to use. One bottle holds 60 capsules at one a day; another holds 60 capsules at two a day. The second runs out in half the time.
The calculation
Step one: divide the number of units in the pack by the number of units per serving. That gives you servings per pack.
Step two: divide the price by servings per pack. That is your cost per serving, and it is the number worth comparing.
Watch for bundles
Multi-pack offers often lower the cost per serving, but only help if you were going to use the product for that long anyway. Check the return terms before buying several months at once.
