Money-Back Guarantees and Subscriptions: Reading the Fine Print

"Risk-free" can mean very different things. What to look for before you rely on a guarantee.

A guarantee is only as good as its conditions. Two offers that both say "90-day money-back guarantee" can work very differently in practice.

Questions worth answering first

Does the guarantee cover opened or used products? Is it a full refund or store credit? Does the window start on the order date or the delivery date? Who pays to send the product back?

Subscriptions

If a discount requires a subscription, note how to cancel and how far in advance. Set a reminder before the next billing date if you only want to try the product once.

Please note: prices, availability and formulations change. Check the merchant's page for current details before buying.
